NCC Practice Philosophy

Through professional training and continuing post-graduate education, Drs. Timothy and James Morgan have established a practice philosophy which advocates logical, practical and effective approaches to a variety of health and wellness related issues.  They believe that physical health concerns are most effectively addressed through hands-on, physical medicine.  Additionally, they believe that the emerging field of nutritional medicine can play a powerful role in the prevention and treatment of many diseases and health concerns that have become prevalent in today’s society.  In keeping with these philosophies, the doctors employ a wide variety of manual therapies, exercise prescriptions and nutritional recommendations to optimize their patients’ health and well being.

Before any type of therapy is prescribed, however, the doctors ensure that health-related issues are properly assessed and diagnosed with respect to the individual needs, goals and health history of each patient.  With proper assessment, and borrowing from the forefront of scientific research, personalized, safe and effective treatment approaches are identified and implemented.  When and if medical co-management is in the best interest of their patients, the doctors work with medical specialists and primary care physicians to provide the most comprehensive care possible.  In this way, allowances can be made for all types of patients, in consideration of their age, health history, medical condition and genetic individuality.

Whereas chiropractic and nutritional medicine have traditionally been considered as alternative therapies, the doctors prefer to define their practice as complimentary to conventional medicine.  It is their belief that this model of health care is critically underserved in today’s era of managed health care, and that the services provided at Norfolk County Chiropractic are well suited to fill a vital role in the maintenance of their patients’ health and well being.
