The schools through which Dr. Morgan obtained his chiropractic education and post-graduate training were specifically chosen based on their academic reputation and their commitment to chiropractic research. As the foundation of it’s curriculum, The Southern California University of Health Sciences emphasized training in the core sciences to assure a thorough knowledge of the human body. The curriculum then focused on developing diagnostic skills, treatment methods and the clinical management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Following an internship at the Whittier Health Center, in Whittier, CA, Dr. Morgan re-located to Massachusetts in 1995, where he entered private practice. Between 1998 and 2001, Dr. Morgan served as course chairman for the Chiropractic Sports Physician post-graduate program offered by the National University of Health Sciences. He is currently moving through the multi-stage process of attaining diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Diplomate status in this particular specialty has been granted to less than one quarter of one percent of chiropractors nationwide. Outside of his chiropractic practice, Dr. Morgan is an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Boston, teaching courses in Kinesiology and Human Biomechanics within the Exercise Health Sciences Department. To complement his post-graduate training in sports medicine, Dr. Morgan has been granted additional certifications in clinical nutrition and as a strength and conditioning specialist. By implementing his acquired knowledge directly into the hands-on care and management of his patients’ neuromusculoskeletal concerns, Dr. Morgan continues to define and sharpen his professional focus on a daily basis. |
